Hi, I am Jenny Bell
I live in Cheyenne Wyoming and I love Jesus, my husband of 12 years, kids (especially my own), the glorious rocky mountains, and a good story! I also love my job of being a master storyteller for chapters in people's lives. Here's a little snapshot of my own story's chapters:
~ playing with my 4 kiddos
~ training my Bernese Mountain Dog
~hiking or biking in the mountains with my family or friends
~ re-designing/decorating a room in our home
~ antique shopping
~hosting a gathering
~ and reading a good book.
The soundtrack to my story includes music from The Arcadian Wild, JJ Heller, Ben Rector, The National Parks and of course some children songs (my favorites are from Ellie Holcomb and Bluey!).
The dishes can wait - there is a story to live!
~
I started pursuing professional photography when we lived in Eaton Colorado in 2014 and we created Burlap and Pine LLC in 2018- after we moved to Laramie, Wyoming. We've moved around a good bit, but our roots go deep in these parts as I grew up in the area. I started my business doing pictures of all categories, but my passions are babies and beautiful mountain scenery and therein lies what I have created Burlap and Pine to be: a "Specialist for Maternity and Newborn Photography". Although I certainly still do family sessions, I have had the privilege to create beautiful maternity and newborn photos for dozens of clients across Southern Wyoming and Northern Colorado. I believe in the magic of a sunset, a firefly, a kiss, and of a baby's chubby hands and tiny feet. I look forward to capturing the magic of your family's story in every session.
It takes a village
A small business takes a village to run. Especially when you have a family. Here is a snapshot of my "Village".
My husband. He is my strongest asset, my technical support, my adviser, one of my free babysitters, and the love of my life. It's so important to support one another in your passions. He's my mountain biking man, and I'm his picture snapping girl.
My family (mom, dad, bro, sis-in-laws, and parent in-laws) who have given hours of free babysitting, encouragement, and some gifted equipment for my business.
My friends. Deb, Carolyn, Katrina, Jordan... you know who you are. You give input and feedback and cheerleading that helps me be the best I can be. You also love me.
My fellow photographers. Jamie, Danielle, Sarah. You coach me and give me the feedback to help me thrive. You don't see me as a competitor, but as a fellow professional who wants to grow her skills.
My (paid) babysitters. I'm so thankful I've found you - don't move or grow up and get real jobs please!- Nancy, Isabell, and Lea!
Thank you
